Date Uploaded: Oct 15, 2007

Went camping the weekend of October 12-14th. There was an old railroad bridge nearby that is no longer functional.

A lonely guy was sitting on a pillar and I thought it would make a good shot for this challenge.

Too bad the person didn't have a little more color on. He's kind of lost in the shadow.

My overall impression of this shot is of an opportunity lost. It doesn't help that the man is in the shade but I feel something much more darking could have been done with the composition - the scenery alone doesn't add to the mood you've so nearly created. If we could see more of the man I feel it would help.

Would certainly help if the sun lit up your subject.

I wish the person popped a little more, I did not notice him at first.

The guy is just too much in the shadows, it actually took me a little while to even notice that he was there. I like the subject though, this is a great point of view.
