Shot while waiting for my wife to run by during the Baystate Marathon in Lowell Mass. This was quite the walkway! My boys and I had to use this to cross the river - quite a journey with the wind and my vertigo!

Shot in RAW. Opened image in CS2 - adjusted exposure and curves. Save as Jpeg.

Opened in Elements 3.0. Adjusted levels, hue/saturation -single color channel, and noise ninja. Cropped to size. Save for web.

Opened image, USM at small radius and large radius. Desaturated using Hue/Saturation. Save.

Post Challenge: Thanks for the great comments. I am glad I gave you all vertigo. Now you know what it is like to be me most of the time!

My wife is a bit upset with me about this shot. This image has pushed the image of her running off my 'top scorer' row. I keep pleading with her to talk to me, but I guess I will have a quiet house until I can get another image of her on my front page... ;-)

Peter

Congrats on yet another top 20 finish. I just love the repetitive pattern and the fact that it seems both wide open and claustraphobic at the same time

Impressive if you suffer from vertigo (I was going to add 'and wind' but that would have sounded quite wrong!!!!)

Very nice gentle B&W conversion that still has heaps of contrast where the shadow hits the light

Great job buddy

nice image, what are the walls/sides madde out of? they almost look like mirrors. I like the off-center perspective, although it seems like the person is not sharp, but instead the walls closer to the camera.
