 A simple idea & so is the execution. I don't no how much it will be appreciated but I think I shouldn't expect much.

The colours here are quite interesting. All in all quite a pleasant macro that could do with perhaps a narrower DoF to add interest.

For me, your image doesn't fully communicate that it's something other than a pencil without having your title. Good composition and lighting though.

Great image. My one complaint is that it could use a bit more saturation and a little more contrast. Other than that, it is great.

Simple and effective. One of the few entries that meets the challenge. Would have preferred the tip to be in focus as well.

This is a winner in my book!! (sorry) How clever, yet so everyday! We all use pencils as a bookmark. You chose the perfect book and pencil, and placed them beautifully. I love the vibrant colors, DOF and fabulous detail. This image reminds me of being a kid!! Really, this needs to be some sort of promotional poster for schools.

This is a pretty good idea. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I think there could be something better done with the composition.
