Thanks for the comments ... all 2 of them!
It is not a Prezwalski's, but is in fact a Mongolian or Asian Wild Horse. I didn't have a good angle on him at first, but then moved to this spot where the composition and so forth looked better. This was the first and only shot I got off in that spot before my battery died and he moved away before I could get it changed out, so this is the shot I had to work with.
I tried to fix the color balance, green saturation, and levels to separate him more from the background as was pointed out, but it caused the photo to get too yellow and then the horse took on an unnatural tone, so I felt that this was the best I could muster from this particular image with the Basic Editing limitations. It scored about what I figured it would, but landed in a much lower position overall than I thought it would. Oh well. |

Your subject blends into the background. Very natural. I'd like a shallower DOF (but nobody but me likes shallow DOF).
Still, nice shot. I'm giving you an average score.
Good luck. |

Very cool shot! Is that a Prezwalski's Wild Horse? The colors seem slightly muted on my monitor, particularily the "greens". I suggest boosting the Saturation, or simply adjusting the Color Balance next time :). |
