This actually is one of my shallow dof shots, but I might prefer it over the actual submission. So I give it a try in this challenge instead as I couldn't think of anything good /didn't have time to do something else. Would just like to hear some comments, don't care how it scores.
I bought the dummy to study light and shadows, very helpful tool.
Shooting info:
Handheld, AF, manual wb, macro mode
Photoshop:
* Moved the white point of the Levels to the first left pixel + middle slider slightly to the left to brighten up the scene
* Channel Mixer to monochrome, 20 Red, 80 Green, 10 Blue (estimates, it was two days ago when I did this one)
* Resample to 639 wide, 480 high
* USM (app. 250% 0.3 radius 1 treshold)
* Save for the web

| I like this photo, but I don't understand what I am seeing - except for the champagne cork. I think it is a wooden figure below which I don't exactly relate to the title of letting go of the bottle. Still like it very much. An 8. Could have been a 10. |
