Yeah, more cats... :-) This is Ziggy and Skootles. Ziggy is the tiger, 6 month old son of a cat that is either Skootles' older sister from a previous litter or sister from his own litter. I'm not entirely sure because she was a very elusive cat (one I could never catch and get fixed). Skootles is the BEST big brother (or uncle or whatever), the young kittens just love him and follow him everywhere and cuddle with him and he puts up with it like a real trooper. I love my Skootie-bug!
Again trying to do different processing than my usual style. More selective desat, but this time trying to create a soft dreamy look rather than the sharp contrast look last time around. There are TONS of layers here...
First, major crop to focus in on the boys' faces. Then...
-Create duplicate bkgrnd layer, apply Gaussian blur at 2 pix radius then mask out areas to remain sharp (opacity left at 100%)
-Create duplicate bkgrnd layer, apply diffuse glow, mask out a few areas glowing too much and reduce opacity to 86%
-Add vignetting from PTlens to diffuse glow layer
-Create duplicate bkgrnd layer, apply LucisArt Whyeth @ 25% then reduce opacity to 36%
-Channel mixer layer for b&w conversion, mask some areas for a bit more color like nose and stripes, then reduce overall opacity to 87%
-Levels layer to bring Ziggy out a bit more
-Photo filter warming (81) at 21% to add warm color cast
-resize
-apply sharpen tool over parts of Ziggy's and Skootles' faces
-save for web |

It is funny how Skootles seems to be trying to get away. I like the selective desat with the hint of pink on Skootles nose. |

This reminds of a photobooth photo for some reason. You know, the kind where you get in a make funny faces and it prints out the strip of photos. I don't know why, but it just does. Totally cool! And oh so sweet. |
