 I found this little guy outside, Rusty (our cat) LOVES to play with them & chase them when they jump. The hopper hung out gnawing on my hand for a while and then finally decided to jump away.
Did basic editing then used the radiant filter in OptikVerve Labs.

Love it! I agree with Ken, having this wonderful sharp macro view of the grasshopper with the blue sky and clouds in the background is a bit unexpected and just wonderful!
BTW, was he actually chewing on your finger????EEWWWW

Using the sky for a background was clever, there's something that works showing the closeup of the grasshopper and the sky.

What a wonderful shot. I like the color combination. We don't have many grasshoppers here, so my cats are chasing butterflies and spiders. (I hate to clean it up and won't put them on my finger).
