She was in tears (parting from her parents) and then one of her aunts came and cracked a joke! This is what happened then.

On completion of the wedding rituals, the bride in Bihar is sprinkled Vermillion on her head first by the husband and then by other women on the nose, a public reassertion that now she is married.

For the rest of her life the Hindu wife dons this beautiful red powder just above her forehead,in the parting of her hair everyday.

Good picture. Alittle too dark on the left center.

Good close up shor, but it doesn't say letting go to me.

The idea is great, but too much shadow really hurt the final image.

magnificent photograph. My respect to you! The darks... and greys are so so molded around her face... all the hairs, wires, threads, powders and paints, and then the complex expression!

Neat photo. I would like to know what culture this represents. The lighting is a little harsh, I think, for her.

I just don't see "letting go"

WOW. That's a superb photo. Expressive, emotive, full of colors , light and shadows. Is this a Indian wedding? The title complement well the photo: mixed feelings, yes, but not for the photo. a 10 for me.
(Is that you, Tarique? Just guessing...)
