These reddish leaves look interesting when lit from behind. It was overcast and the clouds create a large light source shining through the leaves. This was taken about an hour before sunset, though the total cloud cover tends to make time of day pretty irrelevant.

The camera was aimed pretty much straight into the air (I always turn off the 'automatic image rotation' option in the camera when shooting from a strange angle, otherwise it rotates the image in funny ways).

Not much processing. I jacked up the contrast and adjusted the curves a little in Adobe Camera RAW.

I like this a lot, I love the colors and the contrast against the white. Very awesome.

Very high contrast, blown out sky is a bonus in this picture.

Very pretty red color! Love the background splotches of red which are disappearing into the white light.

I like how the sky is all blown out, it gives a nice stark change to the deep rich reds. The DoF is really tasty too.

I like 'em. I like the detail presented by the backlighting, and the blown sky presents an almost studio-esque high key effect.

Backlight always gives wonderful texture detail. You can see it here, the leaves have a wonderful glow and veins are stunning.
