nice shot. i was trying for something like this early saturday morning, but the balloon didn't get up hihg enough to be near the sun.

| I like your picture very much. a successful b/w conversion. The picture lives nicely through the contrast of the big black silhouette of the ballon against the cloud hidden sun. You did a great job keeping the shades and structure of the clouds intact. 10 + fav |

IMO, Does it meet the Challenge : yes
Composition: good
Background : good
Subject Placement: good
Cropping: a bit too tight
Focus: ok
Exposure: too dark I know it is meant to be a silhouette
Editing: ok

| An amazing back lit shot. The drama and dark shadows work well. The kiss of the sun and hot air ballon is what makes this special. Congrats on this fine capture. |

| Very cool and different take on a hot air balloon shot. I think i would have preferred some more color in the image to really make it sing, but as is its still agreat image. 8 |
