this is simple, but I really like it. I like the placement of the smoke within the photo, and the lighting was great. focus and clarity fit well with the purpose of the photo. great job. 9 good luck in the challenge. ~hbunch7187~

Nicely done. Not much else to say, I have no complaints here.

its not your fault you don't have an extremely interesting picture here. I know you have to make your picture a certain dimension. My main criticism is that it is poorly framed. I like it and it is good use of theme.

Nice abstract design - not sure that the negative space contributes much Wow, though.

Smoke is so hard to capture well. Good work. Did you try it with the smoke in other parts of the frame -- like "running" diagonally or having it framed horizontally. I don't necessarily think those would be better, just different ideas. karmat

Very nice. A photo like this dosen't leave much to be said. The composition is great, the cropping is spot on. I love it. 10-Martin

I would have put this just a teeny bit more centered. Excellent idea, beautiful swirly smoke.

Nice abstract, and I really like the concept. The composition doesn't feel right for me. I don't care for the smoke being SO far to one side. lhall-6

Up: Good interpretation of theme. Excellent subject choice. Good work in available light, or low-light. Down: slight graininess, focus is a little soft (though I understand it IS smoke, after all).
