 This is my brotha from anotha motha Randy - same guy from my wide angle entry in 2005. A few of my shots from that night had the chair in the pic too, but the shot seemed to carry enough weight with just his face. He's a pretty intense dude - but the gentlest soul I know, I think.



I took the strobes out to a construction site at sunset under a really angry looking sky. Unfortunately my dipshit assistant (also me) forgot to ensure the sync cord was in the bag before I left, and we missed the sunset part of the equation. in the end it looked like we were in a studio, but really the absent background is just an illusion.

Hey just came across this.. apparently the shoot yielded some magic after all .. 8th out of 184 ain't so shabby yo ;)
Nicely done its an intense shot.. yet he is still gentle.. its an odd combo.. I dig it. ((like the leather jacket too ;) ))

Nice. I know I'll see lots of half faces but this is really well done, as you did it with light and shadow. Perfect focus and that blank stair is powerful and scary!
