 This is a Pika at Moraine Lake in Banff National Park. The weather and light wasn't great for photographing the lake, so I was happy to find this guy along the trail up to the view point.

This was shot hand held in RAW mode. Post processing was done in DPP- crop, adjust white balance, increase saturation, and sharpen. I then transferred to Photoshop and resized, sharpened and saved for web.

What a sweet little face! Poor thing does not look happy lol. The background looks odd. Is that some kind of fencing back there?

So cute!!!! Oh my gosh I love this photo. I relly like the lichen on the rock and the colours in the background but I just love that little critter.

Excellent exposure, with no blown highlights. Lovely pose from the rodent - not one I have seen before - and a photographically perfect rock! Good work.

Very cute animal portrait. For real 'POP' I think a bit more contrast and perhaps even a slim frame might have pulled it out.
