What a BEAUTIFUL! BEAUTIFUL boy! And the sepia processing makes it even more awesome. It gives it a nostalgic, old-timey look. I just love this.

I like how this is a different kind of children's shot. Love the eyes and the candidness of the pic. Quite striking and really catches your attention. |

the background seems so OOF and so far away and so impossible to reach, yet I can tell exactly what it is and its shapes dominate the composition. The overall effect is a visual paradox that is totally compelling and creates questions about the child... what world does he exist in? what time? Is this a world of his past, his future, a world he abandoned, a world that rejected him? His expression, so intense but completely ambiguous (polyguous?), only intensifies the mystery.
Posthumous Red Ribbon (yes there is another photo as good as this one!) |

The boy seems oversharpened, the haloing aorund the boy a little too obvious |

Most interesting - and really, really well done. I love the expression, the catchlights, the DOF - the whole thing, actually. This makes me want to know his story. 10. |

Like the unassuming glance. A slight bit too much constrast. |

I like this shot!! This has an old west feel to it for me, like a John Wayne photo. Love the catch lights in his eyes. His eyes are intriguing. I'm unable to vote in this challenge but best of luck to you. |

contrast is a bit high here, some blown areas at ear and in his hair while eyes and collar are too dark. negative space at left doesn't add IMO, would work better in square crop. Besides that, you have captured his emotion very well. |

Very nicely done. The look is one of either incomprehension or unsuredness. The comp works for me. |
