This is a picture of one of my good friends Aaron. Its one of his senior pics. I really like it and so does he. just looking for some helpful tips on what i could have done to make it better i guess. thanks

And i know that the drums are alittle "blurry". with the 1/8 shutter, i moved the camera around alittle to give them some motion just for some effect.

Either the drum set is blurry or the lighting is falling weird on it

Good lighting. I like his expression (nice arms too!) A well done portrait. The black & white is effective.

I like the lighting in this.

nice shot - has an almost stark simplicity to it, but that fits the subject and title well.

Excellent use of directed light, and the subtle background drums are a terrific complement to the ethereal quality of this image. This should score very well.....I hope so! 8

Nice shot. The light seems a bit harsh on his face and I think I would like a bit more light on the drum set, but the overall composition and feel is good.

Why do men always try to exaggerate their biceps when they cross their arms? I should know, I guess. Nice portrait - could do with being a tad less threatening in the demeanour?

I have a soft spot for drummers and guitar players. Looks like his set is similar to our Pearls. I like the light but would somehow like the drums themselves to have a bit more illumination. Either that or crop out the lower one.

I like how you got motion in the drumset but not the drummer. I'll guess that was done with a flash. Nice effect.

Bear in mind that my monitor may not be calibrated right. I love the centered composition but the drums are too dark. Even if you were trying to create a silhouette, I don't see too much of a difference between the dark foreground and background and the drums. I see a little light spot by the cymbal on the right. I do like the lighting on the drummer.

great job with the lighting ... this could be in a magazine ...

Very nice lighting on his face. A bit dark at the bottom, I wish I could see more of the drums.
