 A feather my husband brought home a couple of weeks ago for me. He thought I might get a nice photo out of it. I hope he's right.

Post challenge:
I’d looked at this image so often whilst trying to get the soft focus look I couldn’t really see it anymore. After the challenge started and my eyes had “cooled down” I saw there was more blur than soft focus. Still it was interesting to do, that’s for sure but I still prefer the sharper version of it.

I believed this would have been on the front page, great composotion, and lighting.

Yes the sharp version is miles ahead of your blurred one. It is a great shot, but IMO would have won a Ribb in any other challenge. I love the angle, and the arc of the feather. Composition is flawless. Well captured Irene!!
