I spent most of my time tonight trying different arrangements, finally settling on this quite late.

Then I had to take the shot of the water pouring over the cork. I stood in the tub holding the cork up on a wire with one hand while pouring the water out of the bottle with the other. My wife held down the shutter button in burst mode.

Next, I printed the water-pouring shot, raced downstairs, and taped it upside-down to the bottle. A little cloning later, I had my entry.

Unfortunately, I failed to notice the color cast or the tilt to the left.

I'm quite happy with the score; this was my first attempt at a still life.

Many thanks to graphicfunk for the idea of the exploding cork. My shot's nowhere near as good as his, but maybe I'll get it in the future:

Now here I was thinking you had somehow managed the shot upside down! Great idea for the cork explosion, I wonder if using something a bit foamy would have provided more contrast - but still a great idea for adding a kick of motion to the traditional still life.

Good shot. While the whites lack a little detail, overall the lighting is good. I like the idea of the exploding cork. Had that been a little more explosive looking I think that would have bumped the wow factor some more. Not sure how you would do that though except maybe running a hose behind it or throught the inside of the bottle.

I'm trying to figure out how this was done. I suspect everything is tipped and actually lying down and stuck to the board, allowing the liquid to pour out of the bottle? It does not look like a popping cork. Good composition, coloring, sharpness.

Awkward arrangement, but I just love love love your idea. would have been better had the fruit and stuff not been there. Love the glasses and the bottle. Great capture!

The colors are a bit washed out but that might be intentional.

The collection doesn't seem to go together.
You do have the 2 most important aspects of this challenge.
A still life and motion blur.

cutting boards should be paired with a knife.
The color cast makes me think vintage. something in an old cookbook.
