 Might not be 'soft' enough for the DPC crowd but you can rest assured this IS soft focus. A fair bit of editing was done to create the mood rather than create the softness. I did not wish to submit a blurry OOF shot.

heavy curves to darken the whole thing, some selective colour adjustments to yellows, greens, cyans, neutrals, black. gave it a rinse through noise ninja, then curves again, resized to 630 added a 10 pixel border, noise ninja again to get the contrast how i wanted it, then submitted.


I would like to think this would do rather well in the eye of the voters but as I said before it may not be 'soft' enough so I will guess with caution....

How pretty, MAK!!! I love that proud, noble pose!! I guess it wasn't blurry enough for the voting masses, but I think its underrated!!!

this swan looks so pridfully! The big darkness around him and his reflections works very well! it's a great shot!
But, sorry, can't see any softness; too bad...

If you would use soft focus efect it would be for 9 but so it is 6 so far...

it looks like something went wrong in post processing - the picture looks very pixelated. Otherwise it's very nice, but the overall impression is ruined by bad processing.
