I took this out in the back yard with the self-timer on. I would run over with the scissors and pretend I was cutting the flowers. The cut ones are hanging on the fence with red thread.
I know the neighbors think I'm nuts. I looked up once and saw one of them looking over at me. :)

Great blocks of color in this setup - I would have done it the hard way - actually cut the flowers during the exposure, would not have thought of arranging the pieces on wire to look as if they were flung there by the cutting gestures. You accomplished not just a sense of motion, but of real spite-driven *action* - I can see her in my mind's eye, snip, snip, SNIP!

Nice job Terry. Just like Edward Scissorhands.

Very creative idea for the challenge, didn't even think thread was being used. Well shot, deserved a higher score

Great idea for the shot. Love the placement of colors to convey the sense of motion. The red fence is a great background color. (7)

I think the vase let you down on this one it's not very attractive to see all those leaves and stalks etc on the inside

Though theres not a ton of action, i still like it. Glare off vase is kinda distracting. But the tones are very warm and i like that.

Good shot. Could use a little more mood/passion in it's presentation to sell the emotion that the title implies.

Poor flowers!

The stems inside the bowl distract me from the rest of it, I think. Maybe if it had been a less clear vase it would have been better, imo. I do like the picture anyway.

that's nice. great idea to stick some flowers to the wall to simulate them being flipped through the air by the scissors. had preferred a POV slightly more to the right, so the vase was more at left and the hand fully included.

The falling flowers look stuck to the fence wall. They need to be placed on a thin wire pushing them forward toward the camera for depth. Good try.
