 Shot in my garage with the lights out and then painted with a flashlight. Blew on the pinwheel at the beginning when I was lighting that part up. Never really worked with still life photography. Either score real high or real low by my estimates.

You don't know how to score low well. :-) To be honest, this doesn't do much for me - a decent enough still life but a bit lacking in depth, warmth. No real reason at all for the pinwheel except to meet the challenge (and a good way to do that) - strikes me as weird in this setting. Had the still life been more of a 4th of July All American picnic kinda thing, then the pinwheel would have seemed appropriate.

But it scored a 6.5 and came in in the top ten, so what do I know! :-)

excellent still life composition, i am still trying to decide whether I like the contrast with the pinwheel. Everything else in the photo is muted and natural while the pinwheel is shiny and plastic, cool photo but i will have to come back to it

This is an excellent interpretation of the challenge, there is good exposure and depth of Field, and not to much photoshop. Lots of detail on all the items really finish off a great effort.

While this is a clever idea, the pinwheel is very out of context with the rest of the picture. I find it a bit of a ;-p Excellent lighting and detail - love the grapes.

Man that pinwheel looks out of place. But I suppose that's the point isn't it? Nice and sharp, motion looks nice, great lighting. just an odd still life is all.

This is a really nice still-life! Like the composition with the windmill/windwheel (dont't know the english word). Meets the challenge perfectly, IMO

Couldn't you have found anything else for motion?? Here's this classic still life...with this pinwheel that seems completely out of place. Nice lighting.
