 Taken in downtown Calgary, there's a group of these tall statue's outside the Calgary Board of Education building I believe. Had mixed feelings about this pic but hey, It's all a learning process.

The lens is a borrowed 50mm f1.8

Did quite a but of playing in PS considering the basic editing rules.

Converted to 32bit radiance file using photomatix then converted to 16bit using local adaption.
Curves layer for contrast
Hue/Sat layer to up the reds, yellows, and blues(sky/leaves)
Selective Color to tweak colors to exactly where I wanted and add some color to the clouds.
Brightness/Contrast layer.
Shadow/Highlights to drop the overpowering sun.
Crop, Resize
Add border
Unsharp mask for contrast.
Couple runs through Neat Image and voila.

If this was advanced I would have liked to clone out a couple dust spots, especially that massive one in the top right, and masked out the buildings as some of those harsh adjustment layers made them appear grainy.
