Nice repeating pattern. I think it might be missing some other element (not sure what what would be though). I do like the fact you submitted it for the challenge. I think it works well and shows silhouettes in a non conventional manner. |

It's silhouetty enough for me. The chairs are great and the DOF works. I like seeing your photos. Keep shooting what you like and I'll keep enjoying them. |

Not quite "silhouetty" :) - but an otherwise strong image. Looks great in B&W. |

Sighhhhhhh....Well I cant believe this scored as low as it did because I think it is a great image.
Guess you have two choices...Play safe and score well or take the photos that you like and run the risk of others not liking them. I have to say I think you made the right choice. Great repetitive pattern and strong leading lines
Still at least you got perhaps the greatest ever comment on DPC about it!! |

DNMC
"I don't see a silhouette here. I see seats? Where's the silhouette?"
"Where's the sunlight? You need to have the camera facing the sun and totally blind yourself in order to win at DPC! Don't you know that?"
"The main subject is not completely black with a light background! I'm stumped as to how to score this now! Where's the light background and the black figure?"
"Where's the nude?"
"I don't see Icelandic Mountains anywhere. Can't possibly ribbon!"
"Had you changed the background, took out a few seats, ripped out a wall to let the sunlight in and sat someone in one of those chairs while facing the sun....it might be worthy of a better score. 1"
"Looks a little out of focus in spots to me."
"The backs of the seats are rounded. A real stadium has straight seats. Looks staged....too staged to me. Next time, use real seats. Oh, and some of the seats should have been left down. Looks fake."
"The seats on the upper right hand corner look blown out. It's distracting. I think painting them black might have worked better."
"Was Earl there? Where's Earl?"
"Looks to lonely to me. I would like to have seen people there because seeing empty seats makes me cry!"
"Where's the dinosaur....CHOMPY?"
"That white stripe on the lower right corner really distracts my eye. I can't see anything BUT that white stripe! I don't see the photographed subject at all now because of that white stripe."
"I think you should have done some desat here rather than black and white. I'd have liked it better if the seats had have been purple cause purple's my favorite color. I had a cat once that I painted purple. Wish it was in this photo. I would have given it a 10."
BAGHEAD COMMENT: I don't like it. It sucks.
"What's a silhouette? Isn't that french? I don't speak french.....well, except for french fries. I can say that! Am I voting in the right challenge. Are you sure you entered this in the right challenge? Where am I?"
"Too black and white"
"Don't like the title"
"Found Earl! He's behind the row of seats you cropped out with his bottle of Jack Daniels. He says hello" |

Meets the challenge, sort of, but a very pleasant image. |
