 I ended up with a small series from this scene (haven't processed the others yet). Sometimes you just get lucky. I had put the camera away in my bag when the dog ("J.R" is his name) came up to join us. Shooting with the 50mm I needed to get fairly close, but I was worried about distracting them. In the end it worked out "ok".

I see a couple of photo album prints coming from today's outing. :)

Ah, now I see why it's in this folder! Makes sense now. I like the B&W, but I think there's more warmth in the color.

Kid and dog - how can you not end up with some gold? This is a nice shot. Like how the light was falling on the kid's face and not blowing out the dog's fur.

What a wonderful shot. The tones and composition are great, but what really makes this for me is the tenderness between the boy and the dog. You captured it well!
