This one ended up harder than it looks. Even with the tutorial, it was a chalange to get the eggs laid out similarly, and then get the shadows right (my shadows ended up more intense than the original it was a challange to get the soft shadows of the original), but the biggest challange was keeping them dry. Fresh out of the fridge they kept condensating water on them, making them shiny. Had to keep drying them to keep them flat.

Took about 50 shots, I figure this was the closest.

My only post processing was crop, minor sharpen, convert to B&W and lowered contrast (to soften shadows).

Thanks to Connie for such a great original and tutorial to go with it! :-) I can only hope I do half as good as she did.

A nice emulation of the original. Lighting is good but the contrasts could use a bit of a boast to increase the dynamic range of the lights and darks. That is easily done in playing with Brightness/Contrast levels. The other thing I think that would increase the visual impact is to bring the viewer closer in to the main subject. The original has the one egg in the foreground dominating the lower half of the frame. Zoom in closer to that middle egg and bring it front & center to our field of vision. Other than than this is an above average shot.

Looks like a bunch of marshmellows. I just saw the original and this is a decent represenation. I just dont find the subject that appealing. 5

Nice rendition of connies shot. Hers is a little sharper, but your is nicely lit and I think I prefer you angle.

Mmmm breakfast.

For a critique though, I do find the focus a little soft.
