 This is a picture of a roll of toilet paper. I really thought the texture was important and with the DOF, you can't easily tell what it is, which is the overall goal. I wanted to create a sense of mystery, and hopefully without me telling people, some would be confused by the object.

Please give me critiques, this is my first attempt, all comments would be very helpful in the future.

I took the image on an Olympus E10 camera, I don't know how to change the camera option on the entry form...so hopefully this would help clarify things. Sorry about the confusion.

Thanks everyone for the great comments. I guess this isn't a bad first attempt at this challenge thing eh? Even got a 10, which is just kick ass.

I like the earthy tones. This would have been great for the textures challenge, too! Good job with the application of DOF. What is this anyway? packing material?

Beautiful abstract with very eye-pleasing lighting. Great composition, too - the leading lines take your eye all the way through every detail of the texture. 9
