 I shot this of my daughter. I instructed her to hold her head still and only blink her eye.
I desatured the image and adjusted the brightness and contrast, cropped.

I didn't vote on this challenge but wish I had, this would have recieved a high score from me, I think the artistic touch more than makes up for slight blur.

Very cool! The bit of blur of her face does not bother me, I am totally drawn to her closed/open eye, which is fantastic!

Thanks for all the compliments and the criticisms. I know it was slightly blurry. I was going to shoot this one of her lying down instead but didn't think the hair would fall the way I wanted to. I even used a tripod and a cord so it must have been her moving.

I did like the effect I captured though and only had a couple hours before the posting deadline by the time I got the images off the camera. I may do this one again and make it better just as an experiment. My first challenge and I plan on making the next one a little better.

Again, thanks for the nice comments, I thought it was creepy too!

Disturbing in a way. Gimmicky and out of focus. I like the B & W - especially for this composition - I love the tight crop on the face. I think this would work better simply with the eye closed and in better focus.

creepy! i like it.
i know it would have been difficult but wish there wasnt so much motion blur on the rest of the face/hair. still 7 for the concept

A couple of people have gone for the yes open/shut idea in this challenge which may impact on your score but I do like this one. The use of the hair to produce a half face portrait is excellent
