OK on a positive note I have to say I absolutely love this picture in terms of the composition, textures and multiple leading lines. Having said that I dont know whether it really strikes me as the closing of the day (the shadows seem both a bit too pronounced and a little short for this)

The sand looks a little fuzzy and out-of-focus. The extra stalk is distracting. Photo doesn't seem to really capture "closing", with only the shadows. (5)

nice but...its to bright and the shadow it to much right under the grass to show the closing of a day..

Very nice idea. I like the texture of the sand. I feel this photograph might be stronger with just the single blade of grass and its shadow.

I like this shot a lot because of the color, texture, and interesting shadow, and in the right challenge, I'd score it highly. But...despite the title, it doesn't really say "Closing" to me. So merely average score in this challenge.
