 Set a piece of paper on the floor (leaned against the wall) and arranged several gumdrops in a variety of ways. My lighting was weak and very yellow so it required much post processing to correct the color. Once in Photoshop: levels, curves, USM, dodge resistant discolorations, more levels, color balance, added border, flatten, resize, USM again.

For the record, I'm not sure about the white border. I tried every other variety I could and also without a border but this really looked best. I'm sure I'll get comments about the border disappearing into the background, but oh well.

really nice use of shallow dof - the textures on the gumdrop in focus is really good and the pale shadows add nice depth -6

I like it. Maybe if the camera was higher and more tilted down it would have had a better effect and made the background sweets seem more 'threatening'... threatening sweets... I never thought i would write that anywhere.
