Fun b&w. I like the different shapes in the dish, they seem to point to the candy.

Yes you made the right choice. There's nothing 'wrong' with this shot, but it would not have fared well in a challenge for lack of excitement.

That said, this is a nice b/w. The candies make for a little explosion of tones which is pretty cool.
