One of the best brown ribbons I have ever seen!

oh, it's totally a stretch. i don't even mind the brown ribbon....just don't tell me that it's a bad photograph!

this probably has the best image quality out of any brown ribbon in the history of DPC. you should be proud!

A couple of days after viewing this I saw hundreds of flies on a discarded fish head. Smelly and a whole lotta buzzin' goin' on. Cheers! In the right challenge you would have had a great chance at placing for a ribbon. IMO.

Mmmmm... tasty! Can't believe this didnt ribbon. Who doesn't like a dead animal shot shoehorned into a food related challenge?? Pffft. Voters. :)

Looking for last place, are we? Here's your 1, because this isn't meeting the challenge at all.

Now, having said that, as a photo, it's pretty decent. I like the composition and the sharpness in the face.

Gross! Nice DOF, but a really disgusting picture.

I have re-read the challenge description and have a great deal of difficulty in understanding how anyone could "Satisfy their sweet tooth" with this depiction. While it could be argued that to the fly this is candy, they are not photographers, and as such you would have failed to meet the second portion of the challenge description, that being " by photographing candy".

The technical aspects of this photo are somewhat wanting, the background is distracting and the composition does leave a great deal to be desired.

All factors considered, I have no problems telling you that I voted this image a 3. The image most certainly has a shock value, but not very many other redeeming qualities.

Not so sure about the title you gave, but I love the picture
09/12/2007 06:36:58 PM
haha!

Oooooh. Very nice catch though. Great shot from all perspectives.
09/12/2007 03:56:02 AM
Interesting photo, but I think I missed something here..
09/11/2007 01:31:13 PM
Can barely see the flies for the road kill.
09/11/2007 01:30:44 PM
uh, no...sorry. It's not a bad photo, per se...
09/11/2007 10:37:54 AM
this pic sure came as a surprise
09/11/2007 06:50:29 AM
Interesting take on this.... lol
09/10/2007 11:02:44 PM
Great perspective! I like it!
I'll be interested to see how this one is received by the other voters :)
09/10/2007 07:34:24 PM
I'll give you 2 points for getting that close. 5
09/10/2007 05:45:21 PM
a significant stretch for this challenge- i understand we all have different perspectives about candy but...
09/10/2007 04:52:31 PM
Doesn't really satisfy MY sweet tooth. Interesting though because just yesterday I was trying to find a way to photograph some roadkill and make it fit a challenge.
09/10/2007 11:53:45 AM
Nope, it ain't candy...
09/10/2007 09:15:11 AM
It is amazing to what lengths someone will go! Enjoy your one.
09/10/2007 08:44:16 AM
LMAO!
09/10/2007 06:29:17 AM
ok, just a wee bit gratuitous.
09/10/2007 05:46:56 AM
I think this is stretching the concept of "candy" too far.
09/10/2007 03:43:03 AM
ow grosse!! :( ieuw....
09/10/2007 02:47:16 AM
well its clear, I don't think this will go down to well. Good luck.
09/10/2007 02:39:22 AM
Lookds like an album cover, and also looks like whatever brush you used in the top-right got a little too busy.
09/09/2007 08:26:07 PM
Yuck but the pic's pretty good. Maybe too much burning in the upper right corner. This is hardly a picture of candy.
