OK well I am not sure whether you have flying saucers in the other countries or not, but in the UK they are sweet rice paper filled with sherbet and are at once both horrible and very yummy

I had wanted to do a headless jelly baby shot but (once again) could not get it right

I've never heard of flying saucers, but they actually sound very yummy to me since I like both rice paper and sherbet! For reasons I can't explain in words, I am very drawn to this image. Guess it's an emotional response; the pretty colors and pleasant shapes make me feel happy and peaceful and I cannot intellectually tell you why :-) Using the brain again, the lighting and colors are great, and I like your choice of DOF on this very wonderful composition. Sorry I didn't vote in this one since I was out of town... should've placed higher IMO!

What striking colors! I'm curious though, did you orchestrate their positioning yourself, or just toss them down and grab the camera? Great composition!

Bright, colorful photo - nice macro!

I loved these when I was a kid! We used to pretend they were communion wafers
"Body of Christ"
"Amen"

Of course, if you're not Catholic, that probably makes no sense...

good solid macro - the details of the discs are very clear and the colors seem very true

Cool-looking candy! Looks like a type of rice candy...it's original and a very cute image!
