Secured ball to wall with long pin. Used my "spare" hand as a model. Used a homemade spotlite attached to tripod, cropped image, applied bright, contrast, unsharp mask, and lighting effects (to enhance spotlite effect) It rained in San Francisco today - we make our own shadows when that happens.

very cool conceptual idea. I like it. The ball is a bit oversharpened maybe? But this is a cool picture and very simple.

Somthing that I think would be fun to try. See if you could make the ball without shadow.

Very nicely done - i just wish that painted wall blemish was not positioned right there at the tennis ball's shadow.

I like the rotation of perspective in this picture. It doesn't have a lot of drama or emotion, but at least you've done well giving this an interesting viewpoint. A little more creative than the rest of the field. 7

Very creative and visually appealing. The warm yellow on the ball really completes this nicely, and the sort of triangle shape that the hand makes creates a good strong dynamic compositionally, keeping the eye in the frame. Nice work. 9

may be you should have flipped the picture - this way it looks upside down, nice picture anyway

Very well done! I love everything about it. Very creative too. Was the ball standing on the floor? The texture looks very much like a wall. 10 from me

I think it would have better if the ball's shadow was beneath it. With the shadow above like this, it looked as though the photo was upside-down.
