Challenge: Your Shadow (Advanced Editing I)
Camera: Canon EOS-300D Rebel
Location: science world, vanc. b.c.
Date: Feb 2, 2004
Aperture: 3.5
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/2

Science world near our house has a shadow wall, it is a infared beam which throws your moving shadow onto the wall. It is a very cool place, it also has music playing that is good to dance too, I stood in there for a while waiting for the parents with kids to leave so not to be so embarrassed too much, I liked this shot converted it to b&w, cropped slightly and adjusted levels and brightness slightly, sharpened, resized and wahlah...

I apologize if I misinterpreted what I see here. This image would easily be misread.

Interesting how you rec'd 'over processing' type comments on this one. I can see how people would think so. Seeing your comments on how it was done makes me amazed. I think this is a result of not enough people having had experience with the type of exhibit you were at.
Sounds like a very cool place. I wonder what photographs of other shadows there would look like.
The Children's Museum in Boston has a shadow exhibit too - your shadow stays on the wall after a strobe fires off. I guess I should have gone there - your shot reminded me of it.
Anyway, better luck next time. :)

The judges came before the guests could feast, ella. You have been mobbed.

Unfortunately, this just reminds me of the cheesy effects constantly put in the early '80s videos on MTV.

This doesn't even look like a photo, way too much editing.

I like the idea, but somehow it ends up looking too cluttered and confusing IMHO.

Interesting take on shadows, but not real keen on the effect you used. It's a little busy.
