The texture is great in this shot. I might have liked to see the other edge of the doorframe. |

Wonderful eye contact, but the hair! Wow! You did an amazing job capturing/maintaining the texture and color of him. Very nice, of course. |

Ah, yes, the classic horse head shot. And your classic horse is a beauty. Maybe fool around with bracketing your shots to see if you can bring out more detail in his beautiful head. Or drop by at different times of day?
Still, you do have an excellent composition here and, yes, the barn is interesting too. |
