 A picture of my daughter CrazyStripesss taken last weekend about an hour before sunset at the beach in San Francisco. I liked the way the light was hitting her face in the color version, and thought it would make a nice B+W conversion.

After the usual adjustments (levels, contrast, desat, color channel lightness, USM, etc), I used a cooling filter which cut down on the red light from the low sun on the horizon and really improved the tones of the image

I think daughters are genetically programmed to give that type of look to their fathers (albeit with some subtle variations)! Captured very nicely here.
