I'm not sure what you mean by great lighting. Certainly this is brightly lit.
The glare spots on the plant and the harsh shadows being cast are generally the antithesis of great lighting. Lighting should complement the subject and provide no distractions.
I am wondering if your camera was set on auto mode here? Very odd combination of settings and partly responsible for the shot being a bit overexposed and an aperture which kept an awful lot of detail in the background at the expense of more bokeh.
Don't think the bokeh here, what there is of it, really enhances the subject. The subject is so pronounced in the frame that the background really doesn't get much play, and thus no chance to really add to the shot overall. |

I like the color separation on this, but would like to have the whole fruit in the frame instead of chopped at the bottom. |
