 This is taken in my backyard. I borrowed my friend's 400D to take pictures at a soccer game I was going to later that day. So naturally I had to "try" it ;)

This is a Centaurea montana.

PP: Crop, Rotate 90°CW. I also used adjustment layers to modify levels and brightness/contrast. I enhanced the colors and contrast a bit to make the flower "burst" more to your eyes :) oh, and I added a border!

Critique Club feedback -

I think the bokeh works well here even if the background is still a bit heavy on detail.

The flower appears to float on that sea of green. Flower itself could be a bit crisper.

Overall, very nice shot.
