her sparrow died
she loved it more than her own eyes
for it was the sweetest thing
and knew her as its mother

she burried it beneath the tree

This is perhaps the grave marker of a sparrow, unnoticed amidst the busy-ness and false perspective of Dejeuner Sur L'Herbe. After all, the girl is dead, the poet is dead, the language is dead. We have only these strange symbols of light spattering the canvas.

Interesting...but, I am having a hard time distinguishing what the central subject is supposed to be. My feeling about impressionism, is you are able to recognize the subject...it just has a lot of texture and brush strokes.

Are they mushrooms at the base of the tree. If you cant tell what it is then you loose interest. Dont mind the effect but maybe you could have lessened it in areas so as not to loose detail altogether.

Love the tree trunk!

I like it, but I would suggest that the effect is more of a blurred pastel or oil crayon. I also think that the subjects, which appear to be about 10-20 ft away, are too large for the frame in this instance for impressionism sake; but your shot is absolutely great compared to the other shots.

Needs a better subject. Is it the rocks? Is it the tree? It seems to be the leaves but they do not hold any interest.
