Sorry, this a DNMC for me, points subtracted for that. Photo wise, EXCELLENT lighting on the face. Since the background is rather boring, I would suggest a much tighter crop, maybe go for portrait orientation. I assume the negative space appealed to you, but it doesn't work for me.

Well, here's my two cents. :)

As for meeting the challenge... yes, sibling love can be very powerful, but I'm not entirely sure how this image portrays sibling love. Perhaps the boy is thinking of a sibling who is far off. As for technically... IMO, the border doesn't work very well here. But the lighting is beautiful! Overall it's a sweet shot that potrays meaning. :)

Missing the sibling. Nice natural lighting portrait.

Nice shot, great color but with a title like Sibling Love, I expected at least 2 siblings.

The title doesn't seem to fit the photo. I'm assuming the boy is your brother, but I think this would work alot better with two people in the frame.

it's a nice shot...if it's not for this challenge. The title claims sibling love, where's the other sibling? A hugging shot would have been more fitting.

I'm not really getting power from this photo. Your title says sibling love yet there is only one person in the photo....where is the sibling?

If you gave this picture to someone and asked them what they thought the challenge topic might be, do you think anyone would say "Power"?
09/05/2007 05:11:36 AM
This seems to be stretching the definition of "power" too far.
09/05/2007 03:36:40 AM
I don't feel the power...
09/05/2007 03:08:20 AM
If it hadn't been for the title I would never have guessed this was for a "Power" challenge.

How do I know that this person has a sibling other than the title. Perhaps you could have them looking at the sibling or an object that represents the sibling. The photo doesn't seem to support the title.
