there dosent seem to be any focal point, which is a downfall.

I like this in B+W, think it makes a really good abstract, haven't seen the colour version yet.

I haven't looked at your color version yet and when I saw this I couldn't figure out what it was. Eventually I 'got it' but without a strong focal point, it was tough.

I have to admit that I saw the color version first and I thought the photo was not going to work in BW. And then I saw the BW version --I was wrong! It has a very different feel but equally good. I love all the texture.

Very nice, as is your colored version. It looks like some kind of landscape in B&W.

Perhaps a square crop (without the top) and some more detail in the fire would help.
