The textures of the photo really pop in B&W which probably be lost in color. There are a few spots that could use greater detail, but overall a wonderful shot that makes people smile.

Thanks for the wonderful comments! At the local botanical garden there is a scarecrow competition every year (not a photo competition). If I can make it last all Sept., I want to photograph each of the scarecrows in a way that makes a good BW comp. That's my plan right now anyway.

I didn't know there are competitions for this. What was the final result?

It's a great shot and kind of spooky in a 'Poltergeist', pull you under the bed, sort of way!! She's got a nice smiley face though and I love the combination of materials that give different textures to the shot.

What a hottie, lol! Great tonal range here. Very nice detail in your textures. Your perspective is interesting and I love the way the pipes break up the background. The flower to the left (in her hair) is missing a little detail. Fun photograph!
