The image has some very old icelandic elements, the sweater we call “lopapeysa”, the narrow road and old roadsigns. North of Reykjavik, just five minutes drive on a boat, lies Videy, an island with no inhabitants nowadays. The photo was taken on the island. Early last century there were people living on the island but the last inhabitant left in 1943. The boy on the photo is Högni Freyr, my 10 year old son.

| I always think the 720px images are more seductive to image grabbers... and viewing on my laptop necessitates scrolling. I'm surely in the minority with such assumptions. The bokeh is an enjoyable colour and the impressionistic composition is summery and pleasing. 9. |
