Post challenge: Wow! Thank you all so much for the great comments! I can't believe I got a top 10 finish on my first entry as a member, and second entry overall. This really means a lot to me. I'll keep them coming!

Note: I did clone out a small logo on the blank pill. Unfortunately, I'm having to do my editing on a laptop right now, and therefore didn't realize the small smudge left on that pill because the contrast on this screen is terrible. It looked good from my end - I'll check my photos on a real monitor before I submit them from now on.

I like the way you arranged all the cut marks to lead the eye to the one pill...makes a much more interesting pattern than a random group.

can't imagine how long this took to set up!

Wow, what a cool concept. I love how most of the pills are positioned so the lines are directed out. Did that make sense? Anyway, great job!

It look like you put some effort into this. My score reflects that, and comp DOF and lighting is good too. Lighting is a little strong towards center, but over all the you made a "boring" subject very interesting. Good work!

Wow, you went to a lot of work placing all of the pills with the lines radiating from the bright pill without the line. Interesting abstract. Good lighting and use of thirds.

This is just so cool! Great arrangement of pills, excellent lighting, and wonderful shades of B&W.

it looks very computerized (if thats a word) like it's not a photograph. kinda looks like a picture of a photorealist painting. but i love the photo and the composition of the pills into a burst, very eye catching.

Did you really take the time to line all of those up like that? Still, that's great impact. Draws the eye right in.

I hate shots like this, but this is a really really good shot-like-this.

Your alignment of the half lines is what makes this shot. There is enough there to make it feel like a pattern, and enough to break the pattern to make it unpredictable.

love the lines created by the placement - very creative 'sunburst'

Its a great layout. And the lighting brings it off. I also like the idea of the leading lines from the odd one out 9

A 10 in my book. Well done! Ingenious! The rays on the pills coming out from the one. Great eye you have there!

Other than the blur on the center pill (I assumed you cloned something out), this is a wonderful photo, giving you a 9.

That center pill just doesn't work. Otherwise interesting photo and nicely done.
