| Narrow DOF is a great tool for isolating the subject from an irrelevant background. I think that when you're photographing a single item - such as this drill - the whole thing should be in focus. |

| i like the derelict look here, but am not so pleased with the background being a pristine white tabletop - perhaps something else worn-down might have worked well as a backdrop here. |
