 Was going to do my bearded dragon until i spotted this Jack Sparrow look alike in Hollywood. Shot in RAW, resized, high pass sharpened, adjusted Brigthness, Contrast, Cloned out minor distractions, added border and saved for the web. Go Jack!...lol

Ah, someone is getting a good run for their costume, in here, and in the free study. :) This image looks like it's had very strong noise reduction, and sections of the skin are very unnaturally smoothed. The tone-mapping works well, but perhaps a touch overdone here.

much overprocessed, the softened skin areas don't go well with the emphasized roughness of beard, wrinkles and hair

OMG .. this guy looks just like johnny depp .. totally excellent photograph & crop .. on my monitor it looks like you went a bit heavy with the airbrush or similar tool .. altho when i look some more i realise that it gives this image a sort'v cartoon feel .. fantastic expression .. BRILLIANT .. good luck in the challenge .. =9
