The bright sunlight reflecting off the wakes behind the ducks imparts a good sense of deliberate motion in an otherwise still setting. Although soft, misty, morning shots usually make me feel relaxed and calm, this one is different. I think it conveys the feeling of the beginning of a very hot summer day -- maybe because of the color tone and absence of clouds, maybe because the leaves, reeds, and fields look dry. Excellent capture. |

If only these were deer swimming through the lake...
Great series - as you say, made by the exquisite light. I might have to make another trip south of the river this autumn (I try to keep it to less than three times a year).

Oh my!!! this must be one of the greatest photographys I have ever seen. Even without the ducks it would have been a great one but now that they are there it's a masterpiece. The picture really sets me in a cozy mood, I will defenitly +fav this one. Great work!!! |
