 Taken at The Oregon Zoo. The original is a bit awkward in its composition so I had to do some cropping. I don't mind the way it's cropped, but it doesn't reveal his wings as much as one might hope.

I've lost the basics of editing, but it was pretty simple. Convert from RAW, adjustment layer, shadow/highlights helped save some of the detail in the head and burn around the edges.

But for the missing wings, Doc. :) I still think it's great. Different from your typical Bald Eagle shot. Would like to see uncropped.

Nice details in this shot but seems odd that the majority of the wings are cut off for a wings challenge.

Whoa! This is SO beautiful. For this challenge I would've liked to see a little bit more of his wings, but this is a really beautiful shot. Love the detail & DOF, just awesome! -10

Nice crisp image - th eonly thing i miss in this is atleast one full wing (not that i am a wing-fan but the theme raises the expectiations to see one. Great capture nonetheless 7
