 this is a plant called fireweed that is not something farmers like to have grow in their paddocks .. this particular plant is dying, hence the curled over flowers .. fortunately sheep will eat fireweed without any harmful effects and also they help to keep it under control .. it can poison some animals, like horses and cattle, if they eat enough of it ..

Very pretty -- they look a bit like daisies. Good colors in this photo, and good DOF, too.

There is another plant called fireweed (I think it's another plant) that I encountered once that burns the skin when you brush against it.

Beautiful colors, Roz - complimentary yellow and purple with the green thrown in - make this an excellent image. The flowers are so delicate and don't look poisonous at all!

What a beautiful image, hard to believe those little things are so dangerous! The purple background is gorgeous, really complements the yellow flowers.

Too cool. I kinda like the fireweed blossom better when it's dying. It has a neat extraterrestrial look to it. Good bokeh.
