Stop down a bit and take that step to the right to tame that sky (and frame the subject better). Still good stuff. |

wow! monochromatic tones are good. evokes feeling of being trapped under fence and barb. perspective from below is overwhelming! great shot! |

Interesting, almost ethereal effect in uppermost part of the picture. I think this shot could be dramatically improved by cropping off the screen stuff on the bottom and using Transform>Distort controls in Photoshop to make symetrical. Just a thought. |

Almost. Nice depth of field. I like it.

I was thinking more along the lines of "Behind Bars", until I read your title. I see what you're saying, but feel that the barbed wire doesn't need to be in the shot for that idea. |

Nice photo! I believe the sun wasn't cooperating with you but the overall quality is great! |

Should've taken it when the sun/clouds weren't blowing out the top. |

Though the subject is interesting the lighting is distracting. |

At first I thought that the sky was too blown out but then I realized that that is exactly what is attracting me to it. Good job! |

nice idea - might be better more 'straight on' so the lines are horizontal. Bit over exposed in the sky - loses the barbed wire which is a shame. |

I wish the ladder had been centered between the two middle bars. |

excellent vantage; hard to balance the brightness at the top with the shade at the bottom; the stair itself is occluded by one of the rails-most unfortunate; I'm a bit sad, with a little yearning-there's the stair, but there's this damn gate and barbed wire in the way-good commentary |

The angles work well but the top is washed out. I had the same problem. |

This really grabs me. Love the vertical angles repeated in the bars and the background building. Nice eye for the challenge. |

I like the concept of this, but I would have tried to make the stairs a little more centered between the two rails. |

Great angle,.. i would love to see the image a little less exposed and maybe black and white might have brought the depth of the image out more... good job |

interesting angle - difficult to arrive at compromised exposure. |

I had the same thoughts while viewing a bridge here locally. Nice shot. |

Love the photo - the bleak walls and barbed wire fence come together to create a morose scene and, intended or not, the overexposure at the top provides a great contrast and what I interpret as a symbol of hope (looking upward / light from above) against the aforemention morose scene. Really great. |

this would be SO much better with a darker exposure and if you moved enough to get the bar out from in front of the left side of the stairs. the barbed wire and grille is great! |

Normally the overexposure at the top would bother me, but your title makes it make sense. |
