Looks to be a bit oversharpened. Also a bit too processed for my taste. I don't think you would see a shot that looks like this in an advert...

oh so very true. good idea to go high contrast. the DOF is a little too shallow, blurring the fries and the drink

Try using a reflector to bounce some light back onto the subject.

This is a great shot..great model...its too bad as an advertising shot because the company logos are not showing enough. Good attempt.

I think cropping out the bottom portion of the table would have helped the composition

For me, your image is a little yellow and overly sharpened. I like the concept though. His expression makes me laugh.
